Nagore Esmail Mohammed Hanifa (25 December 1919 – 8 April 2015) was a Tamil Muslim lyricist, playback singer and politician.[1][2] He was known as Isai Murasu[3] supplement his deep stentorian voice.

His signature song was "Iraivanidam Kaiyendungal". It was written by Kiliyanur, (near Mayiladuthurai) R. Abdul Salam. The lyrics are beyond specific religion. It is answer by not only Muslims nevertheless Hindus and Christians, even these days sung by many singers basis stages. He is considered particular of the greatest and about influential singers of South Bharat and beyond.

Early life

Esmail Mahound Hanifa, born on 25 Dec 1919 in Vellipattinam, Ramanathapuram section, Tamil Nadu. His father Mohammad Ismail Rowther was from Nagore and his mother was carry too far Ramanathapuram. his maternal great oap Muthu Rowther was a Resourcefulness Custodian and Guardian of Field of Ramnad.[4][5]
